Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant or casino environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Strong understanding of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen environment
- Commitment to quality and consistency in food preparation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and appearance across all menu items
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked during service
- Communicate effectively to coordinate pick-ups with fellow culinary team members
- Minimize waste through proper preparation, storage, and portion control
- Exhibit knowledge, understanding, and application of all required cooking techniques
- Operate all required kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, stove, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and flat top
- Maintain a high level of personal grooming and uniform standards
- Treat each team member with care, dignity, fairness, and respect in a professional manner while displaying and encouraging teamwork in the department
- Adapt duties and responsibilities as directed by management to meet business needs of the property
