Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to walk and/or stand for entire work shift
  • willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees
  • ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasionally up to 32 lbs, rarely up to 50 lbs
  • fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • ability to hear equipment sounds from a distance
  • willingness to comply with prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure
  • minimum one year of customer or patient facing experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one or more years of experience in a customer or patient facing role
  • ability to perform fine motor tasks and maintain accuracy
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • familiarity with health and safety protocols related to bloodborne pathogens

Job Duties

  • Answer phones
  • greet and focus on donors
  • ensure safety of donors and team
  • screen new and repeat donors
  • take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results
  • use Donor Information System
  • prepare donor charts
  • maintain accurate records
  • coordinate donor compensation
  • identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement
  • initiate approved process changes
  • work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
