Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- licensed or certified as RN, NP, or PA in assigned state
- current CPR and AED certification
- meet state requirements for basic IV therapy
- complete FDA approved training for Medical Support Specialist
- minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
Job Qualifications
- graduate of a recognized educational nursing program meeting state requirements
- current licensed or certified Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of responsibility
- current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
- completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- minimum of two years clinical or hospital setting experience
Job Duties
- determine donor eligibility including management of informed consent and medical history interview
- evaluate and manage donor reactions and adverse events according to SOPs
- review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
- administer Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
- manage employee health incidents and coordinate further evaluation if necessary
- support environmental health and safety protocols within the plasma center
- coordinate pandemic response efforts when authorized by EHS
