Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of an accredited nursing program
- current nursing license or certification as RN, NP, or PA
- active CPR and AED certification
- meet state IV therapy requirements
- FDA medical support specialist training completion
- at least two years clinical or hospital experience
- willingness to work part-time in Mobile, Alabama
- compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- graduate of a recognized educational nursing program meeting state requirements
- currently licensed or certified as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of assignment
- current CPR and AED certification
- fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
- completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- minimum of two years clinical or hospital setting experience
Job Duties
- determine donor eligibility including management of informed consent, conduct AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, perform medical history interviews and physical examinations, administer blood testing and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results
- evaluate and manage donor reactions according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- follow SOPs for medical emergencies including executing Center Physician's standing orders and coordinating transport to emergency care facilities
- refer donors to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings or medical and technical issues
- support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- manage employee incidents and determine need for further occupational health or emergency room evaluation
- serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic investigations in coordination with EHS and Medical Affairs
