Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- licensed or certified in assigned state as LPN or LVN
- valid CPR and AED certification
- state compliance for basic IV therapy
- completed FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- at least two years clinical or hospital experience
- ability to manage donor eligibility and adverse reactions according to SOPs
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- currently licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state of responsibility
- current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations and manufacturing environment standards
Job Duties
- determine donor eligibility including informed consent management, medical history interview, and physical examination
- manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions
- review laboratory test results including serological protein electrophoresis
- notify donors of unsuitable test results and provide guidance
- support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
- manage employee incidents and refer cases requiring further evaluation
- follow center physician standing orders and emergency medical procedures
