Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • licensed or certified in assigned state as LPN or LVN
  • valid CPR and AED certification
  • state compliance for basic IV therapy
  • completed FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • at least two years clinical or hospital experience
  • ability to manage donor eligibility and adverse reactions according to SOPs
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
  • currently licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state of responsibility
  • current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
  • knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations and manufacturing environment standards

Job Duties

  • determine donor eligibility including informed consent management, medical history interview, and physical examination
  • manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions
  • review laboratory test results including serological protein electrophoresis
  • notify donors of unsuitable test results and provide guidance
  • support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
  • manage employee incidents and refer cases requiring further evaluation
  • follow center physician standing orders and emergency medical procedures
