Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science or technical field
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 in the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership in safety initiatives
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proven track record of operational improvement and performance delivery
- Knowledge of baking science and technology
- Familiarity with process control and improvement tools
- Experience in statistical process control and program systems in manufacturing
- Ability to travel 10-15% for meetings and operational benchmarking
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science, or a technical field
- Masters degree preferred
- 10+ years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership of safety initiatives
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience leading improvement of operations and delivering performance
- In-depth knowledge of baking science, process control, and improvement tools
- Experience with statistical process and program systems in plant operations
Job Duties
- Lead as an operations excellence vision carrier and drive accountability for running the playbook across all bakeries
- Engage and develop core competencies in department leaders through onboarding, training, coaching, and consistent performance feedback
- Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism
- Uphold and promote E5 leadership behaviors
- Operate with a one team mentality by supporting department leaders in production, maintenance, sanitation and shipping
- Partner with business unit leadership and cross-functional teams to implement profit-driving and quality-of-life-improving strategies
- Demonstrate full commitment to quality and food safety principles by leading by example and providing resources to support quality and food safety systems
- Deliver on key performance indicators for people, asset reliability, quality, safety, service, and cost
- Lead the safety integrated management system for the bakery
- Utilize quantitative performance data to set strategic bakery priorities
- Oversee the financial health of the bakery and maintain annual budgets
