Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ten years of progressive manufacturing management experience required
- Three years of plant management experience strongly desired
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or operational excellence approach strongly desired
- Industry experience including spices, dry ingredients, or pharmaceuticals with complex plant management
- Experience in complex bottle packaging on mid-to-high-speed lines
- Retail packing experience strongly desired
- Strong business acumen
- Proven team management and training ability
- Experience managing budgets and production financial data
- Excellent planning and general management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple demands
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Food Processing, Engineering, Food Science or Business Administration
- Ten years of progressive manufacturing management experience
- Three years of plant management experience strongly desired
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or operational excellence
- Industry experience in spices, dry ingredients, or pharmaceuticals managing complex plants
- Experience with complex bottle packaging on mid-to-high-speed lines and high changeover
- Retail packing experience
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to manage and train teams effectively
- Experience managing budgets and production financial data
- Excellent planning and general management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance to plant management and floor level associates
- Lead safety, food safety, quality, product availability, customer service and cost performance initiatives
- Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and plant adds value daily
- Develop performance scorecards and metrics to meet productivity goals
- Analyze data to implement continuous improvement projects
- Approve and implement changes to production methods and procedures
- Manage plant sanitation to maintain Global Food Safety Initiatives certification
- Create and manage annual operating budget in collaboration with Finance
- Partner with Engineering for new product and equipment introductions
- Develop and implement labor strategies aligned with business priorities
- Set clear performance expectations for direct and indirect reports
- Balance daily management duties with long-term strategic planning
