Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in industrial maintenance or construction fields
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- willingness to work flexible hours including overtime
- ability to work safely in outdoor environments and noisy conditions
- basic mechanical skills including use and maintenance of industrial tools
- strong attention to detail and safety
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry preferred
- knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production preferred
- ability to work overtime and extended hours to meet customer and company demands
- ability to work outside in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud noises
- some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance
- strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- ability to follow detailed operational and maintenance procedures
Job Duties
- promote safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards
- repair and maintain plant equipment including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service
- perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed
- inspect equipment and structures daily to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations
- monitor and review plant processes and materials to identify problems and ensure safety and compliance
- document and maintain service and lubrication reports for plant equipment
- perform general physical activities such as cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials
- perform additional duties as assigned
