Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- MBA preferred
- Minimum three years casino experience preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively and deliver formal presentations
- Expertise in accounting and financial analysis
- Experience with computer reporting software highly desirable
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Experience in financial modeling
- Proficiency in related software systems
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks requiring reach, bend, and balance
- Must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university
- MBA preferred
- At least three years casino experience preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and make formal presentations to executives
- Broad knowledge of accounting and financial analysis
- Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills essential
- Financial modeling experience essential
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, COGNOS, SQL, CRM, CDS, and ACES preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise and manage staff in the Planning and Analysis department
- Develop, implement, and manage operational goals
- Monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives
- Conduct short and long-term financial analysis including labor and financial data reporting
- Create efficient schedules maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing goals
- Assist in the budget process and ensure compliance with departmental budgets
- Calculate profitability of marketing programs and analyze results for efficiency improvements
- Oversee preparation of the annual budget
- Compare actual operating results to budgets and prior years, summarizing findings for executive management
- Develop presentations for budget meetings and operational reviews
- Present analyses to corporate and property executives
- Maintain and distribute key operating metrics
- Monitor labor costs and identify efficiency improvements
- Perform data queries and prepare ad-hoc analyses
- Ensure compliance with Gaming Commission requirements and internal controls
- Promote superior customer service and ensure team adherence to standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and report issues
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company matters
