Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, math, or related technical field
  • Five or more years of purchasing or scheduling experience
  • Functional knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning and purchasing
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to manage large volumes of emails, paper, and data
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Ability to follow safety protocols including use of PPE
  • Limited travel up to 5%
  • No relocation eligibility.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, mathematics, or related technical discipline preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in purchasing or scheduling
  • Functional knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning, and purchasing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Visio
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Strong math and typing skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Organizational and prioritization skills to manage large volumes of data and communications.

Job Duties

  • Plan and schedule slitting equipment to maintain workflow based on manufacturing capacity and commercial needs
  • Develop centralized network plans for asset converting sequences to optimize waste, capacity, fill rate, and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, inventory planning, customer service, sales and marketing to establish priorities and replenishment timing
  • Update MACtac scheduling system and X-Trim software for assigned orders
  • Communicate and document production delays to relevant stakeholders through fill rate exception and resolution processes
  • Balance asset backlog by working closely with manufacturing and sales teams
  • Manage purchase orders for advanced finished goods items and vendor private label programs
  • Track and update approved price changes from vendors in the ERP system
  • Coordinate international and domestic purchase shipments and update shipment status
  • Manage inventory transitions, new product introductions, and forecast purchased finished goods products
  • Lead daily production planning meetings with plants and distribution centers
  • Assist with part setup and system procedures related to demand resource planning (DRP) and inventory buffers
  • Respond to inquiries regarding finishing dates, lead times, business rules, and inventory status
  • Facilitate FIFO procedures, inactive material disposition, schedule adjustments, and service exceptions
  • Process special orders and coordinate expedite requests with manufacturing and logistics teams.
