Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- passion for fitness and health
- one to three years of management experience preferred
- computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- strong leadership and coaching skills
- experience managing customer focused teams in fitness or similar industry
- exceptional customer service skills
- ability to work independently and in a team
- must have valid driver’s license
- reliable means of transportation
- acceptable driving record
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- one to three years of experience in a management role preferred
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Suite
- strong leadership, team building and coaching skills
- direct experience managing customer-focused teams in the fitness or similar industry
- exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
- hardworking, enthusiastic and energetic management style
- excellent organization, problem solving and planning skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Duties
- Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff
- create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests
- schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered
- lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports
- administer and process all employee payroll
- resolve employee issues or concerns
- manage progressive discipline and termination when needed
- greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service
- answer phones and assist callers
- check members into the system and sign up new members
- facilitate member requests and resolve issues
- oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility
- ensure safety of employees, members and property
- manage marketing efforts and train staff on promotions
- authorize expenditures and refunds
- prepare all HR related forms
- track statistics and reports
- provide backup support for absent employees
- perform other duties as assigned based on club needs
