Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a pizzaiolo, bakery, or bread-making role
  • Strong knowledge of dough preparation and baking techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow recipes and consistency standards
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a pizzaiolo, baker, or bread maker
  • Passion for working with sourdoughs and dough forming
  • Familiarity or experience with Georgian cuisine particularly breads, khachapuri, and khinkali
  • Knowledge of dumpling doughs and pleating techniques a plus
  • Experience with Eastern European or Central Asian cuisines such as pierogies, pelmeni, and manti is beneficial
  • Eagerness to practice and expand bakery knowledge
  • Creativity and willingness to experiment with new culinary ideas and techniques

Job Duties

  • Prepare and manage precise dough making and proofing processes for a variety of doughs including sourdough breads and adjaruli khachapuri
  • Prepare menu items such as adjaruli khachapuri, megruli khachapuri, penovani pastry puff dough khachapuri, and focaccia
  • Shape, form, bake, plate and expedite khachapuri, breads, and other menu items to specified standards
  • Assist in developing new menu additions including traditional Georgian breads and innovative takes on classics
  • Occasionally support the line with other high quality menu items
