Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of line cook experience
  • current San Diego County Food Handler's Card
  • ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • capacity for prolonged standing and repetitive motions
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • experience working in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of line cook experience in a restaurant
  • previous pizza or wood-fired oven experience preferred
  • strong knowledge of pizza dough handling and oven techniques
  • familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • current San Diego County Food Handler's Card
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • detail-focused and dependable
  • able to maintain composure under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare and finish pizzas following established recipes and quality standards
  • safely and efficiently operate the pizza oven while handling dough and toppings
  • monitor cooking times and temperatures closely
  • cook, fry, mix, and plate additional menu items as required
  • maintain consistent presentation and portion control
  • keep workstation clean and organized adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • communicate effectively with kitchen team members and support prep, stocking, and cleaning duties during high-volume service
