Job Requirements
- stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- work in noisy fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
- lift and carry 30 plus lbs
- work in hot and humid environments
- have good manual dexterity coordination and stamina
- self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
- basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
Job Qualifications
- must be 16 years of age or older with a municipality of anchorage food worker card or willing to obtain
- experience preferred however this is a teaching kitchen and we are willing to take on the right candidate with a positive attitude in place of experience
- ample growth opportunities for the right candidate
Job Duties
- adhere to all safety sanitation and policy procedures
- extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
- accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
- monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
- operate kitchen equipment safely
- proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
- promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
- communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- complete all opening closing and side duties
- assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
- work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
