Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS technology
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
Job Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles including vans and trucks to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload products efficiently ensuring all items are secured for transport
- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries including tracking information and delivery confirmations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading heavy items when necessary
