Job Requirements
- must be 16 years of age or older
- must possess or be willing to obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
- ability to stand for extended periods with minimal breaks
- ability to work in noisy, fast-paced and distracting environments
- ability to lift and carry over 30 pounds
- ability to work in hot and humid conditions
- good manual dexterity, coordination, stamina
- self-motivated with good time management skills
- capable of multitasking and retaining multiple ticket orders
Job Qualifications
- must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card or willing to obtain
- experience preferred
- positive attitude and willingness to learn
- basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
- ability to stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- self-motivation and ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- ability to multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
- ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
- extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
- accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
- monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
- operate kitchen equipment safely
- proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
- promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
- communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- complete all opening, closing, and side duties
- assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
- work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
