Job Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
  • Capability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry over 30 lbs
  • Must be able to work in hot and humid environments
  • Possess good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage time efficiently
  • Ability to multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen terminology

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Prior experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • Read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
  • Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
  • Monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
  • Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
  • Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
  • Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
  • Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
