Job Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old
- Possess or be willing to obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- Capability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
- Ability to lift and carry over 30 lbs
- Must be able to work in hot and humid environments
- Possess good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Self-motivation and ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen terminology
Job Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain)
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Prior experience preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
- Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- Read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
- Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
- Monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely
- Proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
- Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
- Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
- Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
