Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a pizza cook or in a similar culinary role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more reach up to seven feet bend and squat
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels
- Basic knife skills and proficiency in pizza oven operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and potentially hot kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pizza cook or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of pizza preparation techniques including dough stretching and topping distribution
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Basic math skills to understand calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas ensuring adherence to recipe standards
- Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to achieve perfect crust texture and toppings
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient work-flow
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the pizza preparation area
- Manage inventory of pizza ingredients and report shortages promptly
- Customize pizzas based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization
