Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must have food handler certification of Illinois
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • previous experience in related food service positions required
  • moderate reading and writing skills
  • ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • promote positive guest relations
  • competent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to cooperate and work with coworkers
  • plan and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • manual dexterity
  • auditory and visual skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare or direct the preparation of pizzas and other food items using established procedures
  • determine quantity and type of food and supplies needed
  • ensure timely availability of supplies and approved substitutes
  • serve or ensure proper service of food
  • comply with sanitation, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • properly store food with labeling and dating
  • report repair and maintenance needs of equipment
  • prepare foods following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • portion food for serving
  • plan food production to coordinate with meal service schedules
  • maintain daily production records
  • keep work area clean and maintain equipment
  • complete food temperature checks before service
  • perform additional related tasks as assigned
