Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time on the casino floor
- must be able to work flexible shifts in crowded and noisy conditions
- ability to read Aces Rewards Cards as well as table information cards and distinguish between different colored chips
- ability to coach individuals who have little or no experience in the casino industry
- must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and move machines and boxes of relevant supplies
- this position requires the candidate to be present on site
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent recommended
- minimum of five years of experience in casino games
- at least 1 to 3 years supervisory experience in casino games
- extensive knowledge with all approved RA casino games along with dealing and supervising experience
- adept at communicating and reasoning in difficult situations
- demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- demonstrates leadership qualities that are both authoritative and fair
- possess a friendly and calm demeanor
- exhibits excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- must be able to provide employees with clear instructions
- demonstrates strong time management skills and efficiency
- possess the ability to deal with guests and employees professionally and courteously
- maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times
- must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Minnesota Racing Commission
Job Duties
- Perform the duties of an assistant casino manager in their absence
- create a pleasant and professional work environment for guests and employees
- monitor gaming regulations, performance standards and policies related to pit games to ensure gaming integrity
- adhere to and support company policies
- ensure a fair dealer rotation and update the daily schedule
- provide impartial decisions when problems and errors occur
- continually monitor games in progress for player and dealer misconduct
- check bank roll for previous shifts to ensure accuracy and report daily win losses to casino managers
- inform the casino manager when a guest is dissatisfied
- coordinate the schedule of breaks for all pit employees
- understand and effectively use the game tracking system
- maintain a visible presence on the casino floor
- support casino manager in delivering corrective action to employees violating department processes
- supervise performance of subordinates daily
- respond to and resolve inquiries and complaints from employees and guests
- ensure the achievement of projects department milestones goals
- maintain thorough understanding of the processes within the department
- keep employees and guests informed about special events and promotions
- communicate regularly with key customers in the casino games sector
- manage business levels on the casino floor adding or reducing staff as needed to maximize profits
- maintain and complete all daily paperwork
- control keys and cards accurately and completely update inventory and secure casino equipment
- inform casino managers of losses employee behavior issues and serious guest complaints
- assign and perform other related duties as required
