Job Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience flying the F-16
  • Demonstrated experience in aviation and technology such as technical degree or technology development/test experience
  • DoD Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to participate in design review meetings and flight test reviews
  • Capacity to produce technical documentation for contract deliverables
  • Willingness to potentially fly back seat missions
  • Ability to work onsite at Fort Worth, TX
  • Clear understanding of advanced fighter operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Compliance with facility special access requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience flying the F-16
  • Demonstrated aviation and technology expertise such as a technical degree or technology development/test experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Weapons School, Instructor, or Standardization Evaluation pilot experience
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of advanced fighter flying skills and mission systems
  • Experience authoring technical documents and pilot guides

Job Duties

  • Research and design of innovative pilot vehicle interface mechanizations and pilot/human engineering for tactical cockpits
  • Provide pilot subject matter expert support including participation in design review meetings, system test and flight test reviews, and customer/program support regarding aircraft capabilities and pilot vehicle interface
  • Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate, and document pilot vehicle interface mechanizations
  • Author and publish Pilot’s Guides and other contract deliverables describing enhanced aircraft capabilities
  • Work closely with engineering system design, system architects, software development teams, system test, and flight operations/flight test to ensure pilot SME support for product optimization
  • Provide pilot SME guidance to aircraft simulations, cockpit review teams, technical order product support, and platform roadmap planning
  • Potentially participate in back seat flight missions to gain operational insight
