Job Requirements
- commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating required
- current second-class medical license required
- valid and current state driver’s license required
- 2,000 total flight hours preferred but less considered on case-by-case basis
- 1,500 total helicopter flight hours preferred
- 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours preferred
- 200 night flight hours required with minimum 100 unaided
- 100 instrument hours required
- 500 turbine hours required
- adherence to drug and alcohol policy including FAA regulations
- ability to pass health and medical certification requirements
- ability to maintain fitness for duty including weight and hearing conservation

Job Qualifications
- 2,000 total flight hours
- 1,500 total helicopter flight hours
- 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours
- 200 night flight hours with at least 100 unaided
- 100 instrument hours
- 500 turbine hours
- commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating
- current second-class medical license
- valid and current state driver’s license
- commercial pilot license (CPL)
- airline transport pilot certificate preferred
- experience in helicopter EMS transport system preferred
- four-year degree with aviation applications preferred
- Act 34 clearance
Job Duties
- Report for work well rested and fit for duty
- adhere to drug and alcohol policy including FAA regulations on medications
- report for duty on time to accept flights and receive release numbers
- coordinate with flight followers regarding currency, duty time, aircraft, and weather status
- respond promptly and efficiently to all service requests prioritizing flight safety
- support scheduling flexibility and coverage at assigned base and system-wide
- actively participate in safety culture development ensuring patient and personnel safety
- utilize safety channels to report concerns and enhance work safety
- complete all documentation including payroll, expense reports, and training forms accurately and timely
- complete postflight records including hazard and incident reports and maintain familiarity with necessary software/hardware
- maintain thorough knowledge of STAT MedEvac policies and assist in operational goals
- provide adequate notice for PTO and shift trades ensuring coverage
- select and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- perform all assigned duties including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- maintain fitness for duty with adherence to health requirements and medical certifications
- report injuries timely with complete documentation
- conduct flights ensuring safe completion with adherence to policies and emergency authority when necessary
- demonstrate required competency and proficiency including all check rides and recurrent training
- conduct shift change briefs with medical crew including duty assignments and currency checks
- maintain current flight kits, documentation, and training records
- ensure assigned aircraft is airworthy through inspections and documentation
- function as a professional development resource and mentor for new pilots
- protect patient information privacy in accordance with policies and laws
- maintain a positive customer attitude in high stress environments
- adhere to uniform and personal appearance standards
- establish and sustain positive customer relationships including during PR events
