Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience operating safely in hands-on pilot operation or equipment maintenance environment
- Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and company policies at all times
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Basic understanding of chemical processes relevant to mineral operations
- Proficiency in documenting procedures and observations
- Physical ability to manage routine maintenance tasks and equipment handling
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience operating safely in hands-on pilot operation or equipment maintenance environment
- Experience of high temperature, solid handling process and operation is a plus
- Experience in tube fitting, piping fabrication and/or assembly is a plus
- Experience with hand and power tools is a plus
- Experience with lock out, tag out (LOTO), reviewing equipment drawings, PFDs or P&IDs is a plus
- Basic knowledge of inorganic chemistry, pH and reaction stoichiometry is a plus
Job Duties
- Assist engineers and other technicians to run chemical processes such as precipitation, filtration, ion exchange, and membrane concentration
- Perform safe chemical process equipment and instrumentation troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Work to identify and optimize process conditions as well as install and test new process equipment
- Ensure operations area is kept maintained in terms of material storage, and cleanliness
- Adhere to company policies of safety and conduct
- Maintain spare parts list and ensure all equipment/tooling is prepared to perform maintenance
- Assist in design, purchase, and commissioning new equipment
- Document procedures, key observations and record experimental data
