Job Requirements
- Commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating
- Minimum 2,500 flight hours including cross-country night and IFR
- At least 1 year of experience flying in western or Bush Alaska including winter
- Valid aviation medical certificate
- Current driver's license
- Ability to complete annual simulator training
- Willingness to commit to a one year training agreement
- Knowledge of operations manual and company procedures
- Ability to travel extensively and operate in diverse environments
- Physical fitness suitable for pilot duties
Job Qualifications
- Meet the minimum qualifications as specified in Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135.243 and 135.297
- Hold at least a Commercial Pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and an Instrument rating
- Have at least 2,500 hours of flight time including 500 hours cross-country night and actual IFR
- Have a minimum of 1 year flying experience in western or Bush Alaska including full winter
- Possess a thorough understanding of the operations manual and company procedures for Pilot-in-Command
- Hold a valid aviation medical certificate from authorized examiner
- Have a current driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Successfully complete yearly simulator training for make and model
- Agree to a one year training agreement
- Do not apply if qualifications are not met
Job Duties
- Carry out all duties and responsibilities outlined in the Operations Manual ensuring strict adherence to operational procedures
- Report directly to the Chief Pilot
- Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of the flight assignment
- Maintain a professional appearance and ensure proper attire of oneself and the crew
- Plan the flight including route weather conditions destination alternate airports NOTAMS passenger and load information
- Prepare or delegate the completion and filing of the Flight Plan and Risk Assessment Form
- Conduct pre-flight inspections verify maintenance and compliance with Airworthiness Directives
- Oversee loading securing cargo and fueling including de-icing if required
- Maintain accurate records in Flight and Maintenance Log including flight hours checks and maintenance notations
- Ensure proper deplaning and unloading of passengers and cargo at destinations documenting as required
