Job Requirements

  • must have Gulfstream G650 type rating
  • must hold a first class medical certificate
  • must meet applicable FAA part 91 and or part 135 requirements
  • ATP certificate required and must remain current
  • must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • must reside within two hours drivable distance to Camarillo, CA (KCMA)
  • must have minimum experience required to safely operate assigned aircraft in compliance with company manuals and operational specifications

  • Gulfstream G650 type rating required

Job Duties

  • Act as pilot in command or second in command as designated
  • ensure compliance with flight and maintenance schedules and other directives governing aircraft operation
  • ensure crew compliance with flight and duty time limitations
  • ensure accomplishment of pre-flight and post-flight duties and inspections in accordance with aircraft flight manual
  • coordinate with director of maintenance and account manager to ensure aircraft cleanliness
  • manage aircraft inventory to meet owner or user requirements
  • monitor crew members' performance and communicate to assistant chief pilot
  • complete and approve crew expense reports according to company policy
  • review monthly billing summaries and report discrepancies
  • coordinate and manage crew members' days off and vacation requests
  • liaise with assistant chief pilot and director of training
  • conduct monthly reviews of currency and training requirements
  • conduct annual aircraft black book audits
  • ensure compliance with fleet requirements including standard operating procedures and required paperwork
  • be familiar with installed equipment on aircraft and maintain all required regulatory operational authorizations
  • be aware of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
  • assist in resolution and communication of mechanical AOG events
  • review monthly work orders invoices
  • coordinate and communicate maintenance related items to maintenance controller or director of maintenance
  • ensure all trip related requests or changes from aircraft owner or charter client are communicated to charter department and chief pilot's office
  • assist in gathering operational data for special projects or reporting
  • mediate and facilitate good working relationships within flight department
  • cultivate and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders
  • perpetuate company culture within flight department
  • provide constructive feedback to increase process and procedure efficiency
  • work with account manager in management of aircraft owner's overall experience
  • update scheduling specialist regarding aircraft schedule changes
  • coordinate regular flight department meetings
  • participate in interview process and selection of flight department personnel
  • communicate with account manager for operational, personnel and administrative approvals
  • make recommendations for additional training for flight department members
