Job Requirements

  • Current ATP certificate
  • First Class Medical Certificate
  • Gulfstream type rating preferred
  • Residence within two-hour drivable commute or willingness to relocate
  • Minimum required flight experience for Part 135 Gulfstream G450 operation
  • Ability to comply with FAA Part 91 and/or Part 135 regulations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle operational and administrative duties
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Willingness to work full-time with approximately 300 to 400 hours annually

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum experience required to safely operate the assigned aircraft in compliance with company Operational Specifications, General Operations Manual, and Flight Operations Manual
  • Applicable FAA Part 91 and/or FAA Part 135 requirements for aircraft type assigned
  • Must remain current with flight requirements
  • ATP certificate required
  • First Class Medical Certificate required
  • Experience with Gulfstream aircraft highly preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage crew schedules and operational requirements
  • Proficient in coordinating maintenance and training activities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities

Job Duties

  • Act as Pilot in Command or Second in Command as designated
  • Ensure compliance with flight and maintenance schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
  • Ensure crew compliance with flight and duty times limitations as outlined in the GOM for Part 135
  • Ensure the accomplishment of pre-flight and post-flight duties and inspections in accordance with the AFM
  • Coordinate with DOM and ACM to ensure aircraft is cleaned as necessary or scheduled
  • Manage aircraft inventory to meet owner or user requirements
  • Monitor crew members' performance and communicate to Assistant Chief Pilot relative to annual performance reviews
  • Complete and approve crew expense reports in accordance with CLA policy
  • Review monthly billing summaries and report discrepancies
  • Coordinate and manage crewmember's days off and vacation requests
  • Liaison with ACP and Director of Training
  • Conduct monthly review of currency and upcoming training/evaluation requirements
  • Conduct annual aircraft black book audits
  • Ensure compliance with fleet requirements
  • Be familiar with installed equipment on aircraft and maintain all required regulatory aircraft operational authorizations and mandates
  • Be aware of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance events
  • Assist CLA in the resolution and communication of mechanical AOG events when required
  • Review monthly work orders invoices
  • Coordinate and communicate with Maintenance Controller or DOM any maintenance-related items and scheduling
  • Ensure all trip related requests or changes from aircraft owner or charter client are communicated to Charter Department and Chief Pilot's office
  • Assist in gathering data for special projects or reporting
  • Mediate and facilitate good working relationships within Flight Department
  • Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with all external stakeholders and CLA
  • Provide constructive feedback to increase efficiency in processes and procedures
  • Work with CLA ACM in the management of Aircraft Owners overall experience
  • Update Scheduling Specialist regarding aircraft schedule changes
  • Coordinate with ACM, DOM, Scheduling Specialist to have regular flight department meetings
  • Participate in interview process and selection of flight department personnel
  • Communicate with ACM for input and/or approval for operational, personnel and administrative issues
  • Make recommendations for additional training for flight department members to ACM and ACP
