Job Requirements
- Eligible and obtain a DoD personnel security clearance
- comply with all company information systems security policies and procedures
- must not divulge information without management approval
- execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to controlled information
- must acquire and maintain proficiency in emergency procedures
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- able to work overtime and any shift as required
- must be able to lift or move at least 50 pounds
- must be able to walk or climb stairs and ladders
- must be able to accommodate confined spaces
- must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on or under equipment
- must be able to detect odors, noises, and other sounds to detect discrepancies in malfunctioning equipment
- must be able to distinguish colors
- must be able to perform domestic and international travel
- willing to work in a shop floor environment with risks from electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- may be exposed to extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises
Job Qualifications
- MH-139 aircrew qualification or UH-1N aircrew qualification
- military helicopter aircrew experience
- minimum of 300 hours of combat mission ready aircrew experience current within the last 24 months
- prior aircrew instructor experience
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- strong communication skills
- ability to analyze problems and interpret technical documents
- ability to perform domestic and international travel
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive classroom and simulator instruction on the MH-139A's specific systems, flight characteristics, mission equipment, and emergency procedures
- Instruct and evaluate students on all flight maneuvers in the actual MH-139 aircraft, including normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures
- Conduct proficiency checks and flight evaluations for students and experienced pilots to ensure they meet USAF and AFGSC standards
- Assist in the creation and revision of training syllabi, courseware, and lesson plans
- Enforce all safety procedures during ground and flight operations
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, provide constructive feedback, and determine when a student is prepared for practical exams and operational missions
- Perform functional check flights to test aircraft airworthiness after maintenance or modification
