Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- eight years flying experience with five years as a C-17 pilot
- minimum two years or 200 hours of flight instructor experience
- ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
- possession of active SECRET Security Clearance
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 35 pounds and working in various environmental conditions
- willingness to travel as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- eight years flying experience including five years as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling experience
- two years or 200 hours flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics
- recent C-17 flight simulator pilot instructor experience desired
- CATS MECOC certification desired
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- working knowledge of instructional principles and training systems
- proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- active SECRET Security Clearance
Job Duties
- Conducts training using devices such as the Weapon System Trainer and the C-17 aircraft
- conducts briefings and debriefings and counsels pilots and Maintenance Engine Run personnel
- performs administrative duties related to training such as record keeping and monitoring student progress
- provides inputs for courseware corrections and updates training policies
- flies the WST and C-17 aircraft as required to maintain instructional expertise and observe student progress
- serves as C-17 Pilot Subject Matter Expert and Flight Check Airman when assigned
- assists in project and development work and attends various standardization and training review boards
- accomplishes safety, hazardous materials, and cybersecurity representative duties
- travels as required
- performs other duties as assigned
