Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight years flying experience with five years as C-17 pilot including air drop and aerial refueling
- Two years or 200 hours flight instructor experience
- Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to communicate information clearly verbally and in writing
- Ability to present information and respond to customer questions effectively
- Possession of active SECRET Security Clearance
- Physical ability to meet the demands of simulator and aircraft environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least eight years flying experience including five years as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling experience
- Two years or 200 hours flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics
- Recent C-17 flight simulator pilot instructor experience preferred
- CATS MECOC certification desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of instructional principles and training systems
- Proficiency with personal computers and software applications
- Active SECRET Security Clearance
Job Duties
- Conduct training using devices such as the Weapon System Trainer, C-17 aircraft, and Computer-Based Trainers
- Maintain a high level of subject knowledge and instructional capability
- Conduct briefings, debriefings, and counseling for pilots and maintenance personnel
- Perform administrative duties related to training including record keeping and monitoring student progress
- Fly the weapon system trainer and C-17 aircraft as required to maintain expertise
- Serve as C-17 pilot subject matter expert and flight check airman
- Participate in curriculum reviews, simulator certification, and evaluation duties
