Job Requirements

  • Possess active and current FAA Dispatcher License including passing FAA written and practical tests
  • minimum five years experience in aircraft operations
  • knowledge of aircraft performance data, aviation dispatch procedures, work rules, and both local and international regulations
  • experience with takeoff decision speed, balanced field length concept, minimum air control speeds, and safety margins in different weather environments
  • familiarity with minimum regulatory fuel and alternative airport weather requirements
  • understanding of Air Traffic Control procedures and pilot responsibilities for enroute, terminal, departure, and approach operations
  • ability to route plan aircraft compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
  • willingness to work irregular hours and travel for extended periods
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Active and current FAA Dispatcher License
  • minimum five years aircraft operations experience
  • knowledge of aircraft performance data and aviation dispatch procedures
  • understanding of local and international regulations
  • experience with flight safety margins and aircraft dispatch in various weather conditions
  • knowledge of minimum regulatory fuel requirements and alternative airport weather conditions
  • familiarity with Air Traffic Control procedures related to enroute operations, terminal area, instrument departure and approach procedures
  • ability to effectively route plan aircraft complying with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience dealing with executive management, government officials, and service center representatives

Job Duties

  • Oversees the general planning and oversight of Bechtel Aircraft Operations (BAO) flights in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
  • adheres to standard operating procedures to ensure flight operations are conducted safely, on-time, securely, dependably, efficiently, and flexibly
  • confirms safest optimum flight routings considering maintenance downtimes, crew duty/rest limits, performance constraints, airport suitability, weather, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), and political situations
  • assesses real-time weather and air traffic restrictions including Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs), Special Traffic Management Procedures (STMPs), Airspace Flow Programs (AFPs), and adverse weather
  • files worldwide flight plans in accordance with FAA regulations and company policy sharing joint compliance responsibility with Pilot-in-Command
  • schedules aircrew duty to comply with company and FAA regulations regarding flight and duty times
  • ensures timely and accurate schedule communication to executive assistants, crewmembers, maintenance technicians, and security offices
  • coordinates international trip setup including overflight and landing permissions, customs clearance, and travel visas
  • maintains and updates aircraft fleet documentation including insurance and permits both electronically and onboard
  • assists training manager with maintaining crew training records and schedules pilot training activities
