Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license may require additional endorsements
- clean motor vehicle report and background check
- ability to pass drug testing
- obtain and maintain pilot/escort vehicle operator and defensive driving certification
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to perform physical inspections requiring bending and kneeling
- availability for overnight travel 2 to 3 nights per week
- willingness to operate a motor vehicle across all 48 states
- proficiency in reading and speaking English
Job Qualifications
- valid driver's license may require additional endorsements
- motor vehicle report and background check in line with company requirements
- must pass company drug testing and adhere to company policies
- must obtain and maintain a pilot/escort vehicle operator (P/EVO) and defensive driving certification
- availability for overnight stays 2 to 3 nights weekly
- ability to perform physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- willingness to operate a motor vehicle in all 48 states
- proficient in reading and speaking english able to understand bills of lading and permits and to safely plan trips
Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of the home for shipment including installing lights and checking tires
- pilot/escort the home as it navigates the required route calling out hazards and acquiring multiple lanes
- maintain communication with the toter driver via CB radio
- maintain communication with retailers
- understand how to read and comprehend state specific pilot/escort requirements
- represent the company professionally
- perform pre-trip inspections and assist in repairs such as changing flat tires
