Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license with endorsements as required
- clean motor vehicle record and background check in line with company policies
- pass company drug test
- obtain and maintain pilot/escort vehicle operator and defensive driving certifications
- available for 2 to 3 overnight stays per week
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- physically capable of performing inspections and repairs including bending, stooping, and kneeling
- proficient in English language
- willing to operate a vehicle throughout the continental U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with any required endorsements, clean motor vehicle report and successful background check, pass company drug testing and adhere to policies, obtain and maintain Pilot/Escort Vehicle Operator and Defensive Driving Certification, availability for overnight stays 2-3 nights per week, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform vehicle inspections, proficient in English for trip planning and permit comprehension, willing to operate vehicles in all 48 states
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of the home for shipment, pilot/escort the home during transportation by identifying hazards and securing necessary lanes, maintain communication with the Toter driver via CB radio, maintain communication with retailers, understand and comply with state-specific pilot/escort requirements, represent Clayton positively as a company ambassador, perform pre-trip inspections and assist with repairs as needed
