Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year driving experience preferably with oversized or commercial vehicles
- valid driver’s license with necessary endorsements
- ability to pass motor vehicle report check and background screening
- successful completion of company drug test
- obtain and maintain P/EVO and defensive driving certification
- availability and willingness to travel overnight two to three nights weekly
- physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and vehicle inspections
- capability to operate vehicles in multiple states
- proficiency in English reading and communication
Job Qualifications
- valid driver’s license may require additional endorsements
- motor vehicle report and background check in line with company requirements
- ability to pass company drug testing and adhere to company policies
- obtain and maintain pilot or escort vehicle operation (P/EVO) and defensive driving certification
- availability for overnight stays two to three nights each week
- physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing inspections requiring bending stooping and squatting
- willingness to operate motor vehicle in all 48 states
- proficiency in reading and understanding bills of lading permits and trip planning
- good communication skills in English
Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of the home for shipment including installing lights checking tires securing plastic
- pilot or escort the home navigating the required route while calling out hazards acquiring multiple lanes and assisting in repairs
- maintain communication with the toter driver via CB radio
- maintain communication with retailers to coordinate delivery
- understand and comply with state-specific pilot or escort requirements
- represent the company by maintaining professional appearance and behavior
- perform pre-trip inspections and assist in cargo maintenance
