Job Requirements

  • 2,000 total flight hours
  • 1,500 total helicopter flight hours
  • 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours
  • 200 night flight hours with at least 100 unaided
  • 100 instrument flight hours
  • 500 turbine hours
  • willingness to adhere to scheduled shifts of 7 days on and 7 days off
  • compliance with drug and alcohol policies
  • ability to pass all FAA required qualifications and checkrides
  • maintain current medical certifications
  • demonstrate fitness for duty
  • complete all required documentation accurately and timely
  • ability to conduct thorough preflight and postflight inspections
  • maintain aircraft airworthiness
  • possess valid commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating
  • current second-class medical license
  • valid state driver’s license
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating
  • current second-class medical license
  • valid and current state driver’s license
  • experience in helicopter EMS transport system preferred
  • four-year degree with aviation applications preferred
  • airline transport pilot or commercial pilot license CPL
  • knowledge of FAA regulations and safety procedures
  • proficiency with flight and navigation equipment
  • strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • ability to mentor and support other pilots
  • commitment to safety culture and operational excellence

Job Duties

  • Report for work well rested and fit for duty
  • adhere to drug and alcohol policies including FAA requirements
  • coordinate with flight followers on currency, duty time, aircraft, and weather status
  • respond promptly and efficiently to all flight requests
  • participate in CEM safety culture and report safety concerns
  • complete official documentation timely and accurately
  • maintain familiarity with software and hardware for paperwork
  • provide notice for PTO and ensure shift coverage
  • use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • conduct all flights safely and in compliance with regulations
  • maintain competency and proficiency through regular training and checkrides
  • conduct shift change briefs covering duties and emergency protocols
  • maintain current flight kits and navigation publications
  • ensure aircraft airworthiness including preflight and postflight inspections
  • document all maintenance events accurately
  • maximize operational readiness with required supplies
  • maintain aircraft cleanliness and proper storage
  • mentor newly hired pilots and assist with IOE process
  • protect patient information confidentiality
  • maintain positive customer relations and professionalism
  • adhere to uniform and appearance standards
