Job Requirements
- 2,000 total flight hours
- 1,500 total helicopter flight hours
- 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours
- 200 night flight hours with at least 100 unaided
- 100 instrument hours
- 500 turbine hours
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations
- Adherence to drug and alcohol policy including FAA medication requirements
- Availability to work rotating shifts and coverage flexibility
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications
- Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating
- Current second-class medical license
- Valid and current state driver’s license
- Experience in helicopter EMS transport system preferred
- Four-year degree with aviation applications preferred
- Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Demonstrated ability to complete recurrent training and checkrides
- Proficiency with installed radios and navigation equipment
Job Duties
- Report for work well rested and fit for duty
- Coordinate flight preparation activities including weather updates, NOTAMS, and crew status
- Respond promptly and efficiently to all requests for flight service prioritizing safety
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely including payroll and training records
- Conduct all flights safely adhering to policies, procedures, and FAA regulations
- Ensure the assigned aircraft is airworthy through thorough preflight/postflight inspections and maintenance logging
- Mentor newly hired pilots and assist in training processes
- Protect patient privacy and maintain professional appearance and attitude
- Participate actively in safety culture development and reporting
