Job Requirements

  • 2,000 total flight hours
  • 1,500 total helicopter flight hours
  • 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours
  • 200 night flight hours with at least 100 unaided
  • 100 instrument hours
  • 500 turbine hours
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations
  • Adherence to drug and alcohol policy including FAA medication requirements
  • Availability to work rotating shifts and coverage flexibility
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating
  • Current second-class medical license
  • Valid and current state driver’s license
  • Experience in helicopter EMS transport system preferred
  • Four-year degree with aviation applications preferred
  • Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
  • Demonstrated ability to complete recurrent training and checkrides
  • Proficiency with installed radios and navigation equipment

Job Duties

  • Report for work well rested and fit for duty
  • Coordinate flight preparation activities including weather updates, NOTAMS, and crew status
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to all requests for flight service prioritizing safety
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely including payroll and training records
  • Conduct all flights safely adhering to policies, procedures, and FAA regulations
  • Ensure the assigned aircraft is airworthy through thorough preflight/postflight inspections and maintenance logging
  • Mentor newly hired pilots and assist in training processes
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain professional appearance and attitude
  • Participate actively in safety culture development and reporting
