Job Requirements
- High school or GED diploma
- minimum 1500 hours of flight time in closely related aircraft or mission
- minimum three years of related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- FAA commercial or airline transport pilot certification in airplanes and/or rotorcraft
- possession of FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- available for scheduled workday on-call with ability to reach RDU within 1 hour and 15 minutes
- compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing regulations
- ability to alternate pilot-in-command and co-pilot roles
- willingness to assist in aircraft maintenance and participate in division initiatives
Job Qualifications
- High school or GED diploma
- minimum of 1500 hours flight time in related aircraft or missions
- minimum of three years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- certification as FAA commercial or airline transport pilot in airplanes and/or rotorcraft
- possession of FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- possible multi-engine, instrument ratings and others as assigned
- experience in King Air or similar multi-engine fixed-wing turbo-prop aircraft with EFIS/FMS
- documented flight hours within the last 12 months
- knowledge of flight planning, meteorology, maintenance requirements, and air navigation in fixed-wing aircraft
- experience piloting multi-engine fixed aircraft in all weather conditions
- experience with crew resource management (CRM)
Job Duties
- Pilot NCDOT aircraft in a crew environment under instrument and visual flight rules
- perform a combination of mission types including point-to-point passenger flights and precision photogrammetry vertical, oblique and continuous strip flights
- employ comprehensive flight planning considering weather, navigational aids, routing, altitudes, alternative routes, loading, fuel requirements and IFR flight plans
- conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft and maintain maintenance logs and reports
- continuously analyze aircraft performance and weather conditions to determine flight continuation or alteration
- alternate between pilot-in-command and co-pilot roles on assigned flights
- remain on standby for missions during scheduled workdays
- assist mechanics in aircraft maintenance including annual inspections as necessary
- participate in division planning, implementation and reporting activities
- support division initiatives including career fairs and unmanned aircraft systems program
- perform other assigned duties
