Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-2 years of relevant piloting experience
  • pilot's license with commercial certificate and instrument rating for single and multi-engine airplanes
  • 2000 hours total flying time, 1000 hours fixed-wing aircraft time, 750 hours pilot-in-command, 250 hours multi-engine airplane, 100 hours night flying, 100 hours actual or simulated instrument flying with 50 hours actual flight
  • first-class medical certificate
  • availability 7 days a week
  • ability to fly 200-300 hours annually

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-2 years of progressive piloting experience
  • pilot's license with commercial certificate and instrument rating for single and multi-engine airplanes
  • 2000 hours total flying time with at least 1000 hours fixed-wing aircraft time
  • 750 hours flying as pilot-in-command
  • 250 hours flying multi-engine airplane
  • 100 hours night flying
  • 100 hours actual or simulated instrument flying with 50 hours in actual flight
  • first-class medical certificate
  • knowledge of aviation principles, flight operation, safety, risk management, IFR/VFR rules, federal aviation regulations, aeronautical information, and air traffic control procedures
  • ability to collaborate effectively with personnel for smooth flight operations

Job Duties

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command and Second-in-Command of single and multi-engine turbine jet aircraft in support of state transportation needs
  • fly photogrammetric equipped aircraft on designated flight tracks and support photogrammetry and survey missions
  • operate aircraft in multi-air traffic environments, complex airspace, varying weather conditions, day and night
  • develop and fly flight profiles to meet fuel efficiency goals
  • file flight plans, record flight data, coordinate passenger loading, prepare weight and balance records
  • update flight and aircraft publications, flight manuals, and software of aircraft flight management systems
  • maintain fitness for flight status, availability, and readiness during wait and unassigned flight periods
