Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Commercial pilot's license with instrument rating for single and multi-engine airplane
  • 2000 hours total flying time
  • 1000 hours fixed-wing aircraft time
  • 750 hours flying as pilot-in-command
  • 250 hours flying multi-engine airplane
  • 100 hours night flying
  • 100 hours actual or simulated instrument flying of which 50 hours must be in actual flight
  • First-class medical certificate
  • 7 days a week availability
  • Ability to complete 200-300 flight hours annually

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-2 years of progressive piloting work experience or 3-5 years of progressive piloting work experience for substitution
  • Pilot's license consisting of commercial certificate with instrument rating for single and multi-engine airplane
  • 2000 hours total flying time
  • 1000 hours fixed-wing aircraft time
  • 750 hours flying as pilot-in-command
  • 250 hours flying multi-engine airplane
  • 100 hours night flying
  • 100 hours actual or simulated instrument flying of which 50 hours in actual flight
  • First-class medical certificate
  • Knowledge of aviation principles, flight operation, safety, and risk management
  • Knowledge of IFR/VFR rules and regulations and flight planning

Job Duties

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command and Second-in-Command of single and multi-engine turbine jet-powered aircraft
  • Fly photogrammetric equipped aircraft on designated flight tracks and provide flight personnel support for photogrammetry and surveys
  • Operate aircraft in multi-air traffic environments, in complex airspaces, in varying weather conditions, in the day and at night
  • Develop and fly flight profiles that meet fuel efficiency goals
  • File flight plans, record flight data, coordinate passenger loading, and prepare weight/balance records
  • Update flight/aircraft publications, flight manuals, and aircraft flight management system software
  • Maintain fitness for flight status, availability, and readiness during wait periods and times of unassigned flights
