Job Description
Birmingham Heart Clinic (BHC) in Metro Birmingham, Alabama, is a well-established cardiology practice serving the community for over 28 years. BHC is known for its comprehensive cardiac services provided by a team of 15 physicians, which includes four non-interventional cardiologists, invasive cardiologists, and two electrophysiologists (EPs). The clinic operates across five campus locations, ensuring convenient access to patients and delivering top-tier cardiovascular care. Job Requirements
- medical degree from an accredited institution
- completion of internal medicine residency
- completion of electrophysiology fellowship
- eligibility for medical licensure in Alabama
- ability to work in a multi-specialty cardiology practice
- excellent patient care skills
- commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- no visa sponsorship available
Job Qualifications
- medical degree from an accredited institution
- completion of internal medicine residency and interventional cardiology or EP fellowship
- board certification or eligibility in cardiology and electrophysiology
- strong clinical and procedural electrophysiology skills
- excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- prior experience preferred for one opening, while new graduates are welcome for the other
Job Duties
- manage outpatient and inpatient electrophysiology cases
- perform electrophysiology procedures three days per week
- see approximately 30 patients per day during clinic days
- collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, and device technicians
- participate in call schedules including weekday and weekend shifts
- engage in continuous professional development including CME
- contribute to the growth and expansion of the EP service line
