Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from accredited program
- Valid Physician Assistant license with State Medical Board
- National certification from NCCPA
- Current BLS certification or obtain within first 30 days of employment
- Previous orthopedic or related clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to perform physical exams, diagnose, and prescribe treatments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work on PRN basis
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant license with State Medical Board
- National certification (NCCPA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Previous experience in orthopedics or related medical field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures
- Strong clinical skills in physical examination and minor procedures
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail in documentation and diagnostic interpretation
Job Duties
- Conduct physicals and comprehensive patient assessments
- Diagnose illnesses and medical conditions
- Prescribe treatments and medications
- Perform minor medical procedures
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Educate patients about their health and treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Cover shifts to support clinic operations and address staff absences
- Serve as a healthcare resource and patient advocate
