Job Requirements
- Unrestricted Wisconsin Medical Licensure required by the start date
- Board eligibility or certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine required by the start date
- Completion of accredited Emergency Medicine residency program required by the start date
- Ability to meet flight occupational requirements including pre-employment and annual physical agility, vision, hearing, and weight checks
- Part-time availability for clinical shifts of 12 to 24 hours onsite at designated campus locations
- Successful completion of caregiver background check as required by Wisconsin Caregiver Law
- Ability to provide proof of continuous eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency training program
- Board eligibility or board certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine
- Unrestricted Wisconsin Medical Licensure by the start date
- Ability to meet all flight occupational requirements including physical agility, vision, hearing, and weight assessments
- Fellowship training in Retrieval and Critical Care Transport, Critical Care Medicine, or EMS Medicine preferred
- Prior prehospital and critical care transport clinical experience preferred
- Academic track candidates may meet criteria for Clinical Associate Professor rank
Job Duties
- Provide advanced retrieval and critical care transport for patients of all ages
- Transport patients by air or ground while delivering prehospital and interfacility care
- Work clinical shifts of 12 to 24 hours to provide high standard care using advanced therapies and equipment
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows through supervised clinical care, didactic sessions, and simulations
- Participate in departmental service activities including meetings, trainings, and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with flight nurses, pilots, and hospital-based critical care teams
- Maintain compliance with flight occupational health and safety requirements
