Job Requirements

  • Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Certification by state medical board
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain within first 30 days of employment
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA license to be obtained after hire
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
  • Ability to comply with pre-employment screening including criminal background check and drug testing

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current certification by state medical board
  • Valid BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to obtain prescriptive authority and DEA license after hire
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
  • Effective communication and patient advocacy abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Assist surgeons during clinic visits by organizing appointments and performing procedures
  • Support surgical team in the operating room
  • Answer pages and respond to telephone inquiries
  • Round on post-operative patients
  • Manage outpatient care including prescribing medications
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to diagnose and treat patients
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and ensure timely consults
