Job Requirements
- Associates degree in physical therapy
- current and valid licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy as an assistant or eligibility to apply for licensure
- current Arkansas license or eligibility to apply and obtain license within one month of hire
- ability to operate physical therapy equipment
- adherence to UAMS policies and HIPAA standards
- excellent communication skills
- ability to educate patients and caregivers
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in physical therapy
- current and valid licensure or eligibility to apply for licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy
- two years of experience preferred
- current Arkansas license or eligibility to obtain license within one month of hire
- LSVT BIG or PWR! Moves certification preferred
- ability to educate and assist patients in managing chronic conditions and promoting wellness
- skills in care coordination and developing individualized health plans
- competence in maintaining accurate records and adherence to organizational policies
- ability to work independently and adapt to changing workloads
- commitment to professional development and ongoing training
Job Duties
- Implement therapeutic plans under the supervision of a physical therapist
- provide daily care including gait training, balance exercises, strength training, endurance exercises, and functional mobility
- educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and wellness
- ensure compliance with UAMS policies and HIPAA standards
- operate and maintain physical therapy equipment
