Job Requirements
- Associates degree in physical therapy
- Current and valid licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy as a physical therapist assistant or eligibility to apply for licensure
- Ability to obtain Arkansas license within one month of hire
- Two years of experience preferred
- Commitment to compliance with UAMS policies and HIPAA standards
- Capacity for frequent physical activity including talking and occasional crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in physical therapy
- Current and valid licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy as a physical therapist assistant or eligibility to apply for licensure
- Two years of experience preferred
- Current Arkansas license or eligibility to apply and obtain license within one month of hire
- LSVT BIG or PWR! Moves certification preferred
- Ability to educate and assist patients in managing chronic conditions
- Skills in care coordination and development of individualized health plans
- Competence in operational excellence including record-keeping
- Capacity to work independently and adapt to changing workloads
- Commitment to professional development and training
Job Duties
- Implement therapeutic plans under the supervision of a physical therapist
- Provide daily care including gait training, balance exercises, strength training, endurance exercises, and functional mobility
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and wellness
- Ensure compliance with UAMS policies and HIPAA standards
- Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment
