Job Requirements
- education from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapy assistant
- prior experience in physical therapy preferred
- membership in relevant professional organizations preferred
- professional demeanor and appearance
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of physical therapy methods and patient safety
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- emotional resilience
- understanding of Medicare and third party reimbursement preferred
Job Qualifications
- successful graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state
- prior experience in physical therapy preferred
- membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Association preferred
- professional attitude and appearance
- proficient administrative and public relations skills
- thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and equipment
- ability to maintain effective relationships with patients and medical staff
- emotional stability
- knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement preferred
Job Duties
- assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans
- monitor and document patient progress
- maintain effective communication with medical staff and patients
- apply physical therapy techniques and use equipment safely
- educate patients on therapeutic exercises
