Job Requirements
- Successful graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program of at least two years
- Passed a licensure examination to practice as a physical therapist assistant
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the state
- Ability to maintain patient and employee confidentiality
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Demonstrated knowledge of physical therapy principles and safety measures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated emotional stability
- Prior physical therapy experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement preferred
Job Qualifications

- Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association preferred

- Proficient administrative and public relations skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, materials and equipment
- Ability to establish effective relationships with patients and staff
- Emotional stability to handle patient and employee demands
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred
Job Duties
- Assist in developing and implementing physical therapy treatment plans
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes
- Educate patients and families on therapy procedures and home exercises
- Ensure patient safety by recognizing hazards and applying appropriate precautionary measures
- Collaborate with medical staff and other personnel to optimize patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations
