Job Requirements
- Successful graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Required licensure or eligibility to practice as a physical therapist assistant in Florida
- Prior experience in physical therapy preferred
- Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association preferred
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Proficient in administrative and public relations skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy methods and safety measures
- Ability to work cooperatively with patients and staff
- Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Florida
- Prior experience in physical therapy preferred
- Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Association preferred
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Proficient administrative and public relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff
- Emotional stability to manage patient and employee demands
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Job Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
- Evaluate and record patient progress
- Educate patients and families about therapy and recovery
- Maintain patient and treatment documentation
- Collaborate with medical staff and other personnel
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards
- Uphold patient confidentiality
