Job Requirements
- 5+ years of major gifts experience
- proven ability to secure five-figure gifts and above
- excellent communication skills
- high level of discretion
- proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM
- proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite
- ability to work remotely with reliable internet and phone
- availability during standard business hours
- willingness to travel 10-20% of the time
- located near Seattle, San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Austin TX
- suitable workspace with secure internet
- ability to travel occasionally on weekends
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of major gifts experience
- successful experience communicating with diverse groups and translating mission into proposals
- proven ability to secure five-figure gifts and above
- excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- high level of discretion and ethical approach to fundraising
- experience interacting and influencing philanthropic leaders
- experience motivating and managing volunteer leadership and senior executives
- proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM
- proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite, Asana or similar tools
- successful interaction with high-net-worth individuals maintaining confidentiality
- comfortable with remote work and business travel
- committed to healing for all and ending the War on Drugs
- leadership and teamwork skills
- proven ability to build partnerships and engage stakeholders
Job Duties
- secure major gifts at the five to seven-figure level
- manage existing portfolio of donors and prospects using moves management in Salesforce
- make compelling direct solicitations in-person and virtually
- collaborate with Development team on fundraising materials, communications, stewardship
- lead development and production of annual Impact Report
- acknowledge major donors through public and private recognition
- conceptualize, plan, and execute donor salon events
- manage relationships with major donors and partners
- schedule meetings to build relationships
- track data, pledges, and communications through Salesforce
- cultivate new relationships with donor prospects
- research and create strategies for approaching new donors
- participate in strategic conferences and events
- present and share information as thought leaders
