Job Requirements
- High school graduation or completion of a GED
- one year of customer service experience which included cash handling
- immunizations or proof of immunity to certain infectious diseases and TB test
- ability to perform calculations and computer data entry
- ability to stand frequently and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
- willingness to work some evening and weekend hours
- ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- no eligibility for remote work
Job Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED
- one year of customer service experience with cash handling
- basic knowledge of cash handling and balancing procedures
- basic knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and math
- working knowledge of HIPAA compliance principles
- working knowledge of PHC Corporate Compliance Guidelines
- skill in the use of modern office machines and data entry equipment
- keyboarding speed of at least 35 WPM
- ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Calculate charges for patient visits and prescriptions
- receive payment by cash, checks and credit cards
- collect outstanding amounts owed by patients
- balance end-of-day visit report and cash drawer
- issue receipts and maintain copies for balancing
- collaborate with medical office, pharmacy, and clinic staff
- participate in quality assurance efforts
