Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year experience as a pharmacy technician
  • certified pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
  • knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
  • understanding of state BOP, Department of Health, and DEA regulations
  • proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • ability to work in team settings and handle stressful conditions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience as a pharmacy technician
  • certified pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
  • knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
  • familiarity with state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • proficient computer and data entry skills
  • strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • perform all technician functions specific to the assigned pharmacy space
  • hazardous compounding as significant portion of shifts
  • interpret and prepare medication orders including filling provider orders and managing controlled substances
  • demonstrate proficiency with pharmacy automation and computer systems
  • contribute to inventory management and operational efficiencies
  • provide shift or site technical leadership
  • participate in training and mentoring new staff
